Activism focused campaigns have wide reach and the potential to connect your brand with a movement aimed at presenting sex positivity to a large audience.
Through your contribution, you will support the development of the PRo SEX initiative and receive premium placements on event programming, digital marketing and influencer activations.
In 2012, #FreetheNipple gained viral attention shining a light on the inequalities women face on social media. The campaign attracted millions of posts, celebrity endorsements and media coverage focused on the need to support nipple equality.
In 2019, the PRo SEX initiative will encourage similar sentiment around #NotVanilla, a new activism campaign aimed at encouraging supporters, press and influencer friends to share their stories as a way to build acceptance and reduce shame around non-traditional sex lives.
The #NotVanilla campaign will align with our PRo SEX Launch Celebration.
PRo SEX LAUNCH
Step 1: Build Awareness
To celebrate the launch of PRo SEX we will engage 20-30 digital influencers, journalists, adult performers, activists, business owners, artists and creators aligned with sex education, kink, polyamory and the LGBTQIA+ community.
Each will be offered compensation and asked to share their #NotVanilla story linking to the cause
Whether it’s about the first time they engaged a kink, some sexy photos they have on their phone, a time they loved more than one person, or any other story which showcases why they support PRo SEX.
The campaign will raise awareness for our cause and the brands associated with it.
Each will be asked to end each story with “My Flavor is [insert flavor other than vanilla]” #notvanilla.
Voices will be encouraged to incorporate ice cream into their post to align with our message.
All posts will be reshared on PRo Sex and on our social media profiles increasing visibility of the campaign.
A full social campaign will be launched in support of PRo SEX, providing safe to share statistics, highlighting work being done by those who support the initiative, curating stories of those impacted by sexual history discrimination, and stories which align with activity by our brand sponsors.
Following our initial launch announcement, influencers will be selected each week to continue sharing their #NotVanilla story providing regular coverage and feedback to the cause.
Step 2. Supporting Media
Once our initial launch period is over (August 1st) we’ll launch cross promotional partnerships with other sex positive groups, brand partners and vocal voices who support our cause.
A campaign video will be shot featuring multiple voices fighting for protection against sexual history discrimination. The video campaign will be heavily promoted through allowed channels. The organizations activism focus and our campaigns lack of adult content will ensure we can promote through traditional ad models like Facebook, Instagram, Google and Youtube.
Add will focus on email collection and sponsoring brands will be invited to promote on messaging to this audience.
